69 c/60 with 427,Have not seen one of these before with 427 emblems on hood. How common were these? Do these motors have potential? Is it worth $800.

The 366 and 427's that came in those trucks are tall-deck engines. They were designed for low rpm's and high torque, and all of them had a carb mounted governor that would shut the engine down after 65 I think. Not sure exactly what is worth 800 bucks, is it just the engine, or a whole truck? Does it run?

Its the whole truck with no bed on it and it ran when parked.

if the engine is gooits worth the 800 bucks. those engines are crazy man. you can build a wicked bigblock stroker out of them. they have the extra deck height which is good. they make an adapter for aftermarket intakes so you can use almost and intake. plus they are even making aftermarket intakes for tall decks. the new 572 block is a tall deck 10.200 deck height. and they build mega amounts of hp and torque

thats just my 2 cents

800 bucks ain't bad. With the right mods you oughtta get some mega horsepower out of that 427.

Just know that if you are going to Build a Screamin 427 stroker, It will cost a few bucks to do it. The tall deck is a Great motor to build and would be worth the $800 as stated above. Just wanted you to know the cost to build it! They Rock when done right!

I might be interested in the cab (whole front end actually) if it is in decent shape, cheap, and semi-local. Where are you in these United States? Might get you back a little of your investment? Let me know, Hot Rod

IIRC, you'll be in it for 10K by the time you turn it into a mountian moter.
One awsome thing is though, it'll have a steel crank, that'll fit in a normal 427.
