Just wondering where anyone would suggest mounting an inline electric fuel pump.. I was looking at the line under the truck, right out of the gas tank. Any suggestions?

E-pumps are suppose to be located nearer to the tank than the motor. It's easier on the pump to self-prime if you run the tank empty and will extend the life of the diaphram. On two trucks I have owned with them they where mounted to the inside of the frame rails under the cab. Just be sure to keep it & the lines away from from heat sources, or risk vapor locking the system and lessen the fire danger.

I made a crossmember for my suburban out of aluminum channel to sit behind the fuel tank.

my holley blue pump is mounted outside the frame on the pass side frame rail under the cab

mine is on the outside framerail, just under the driver's door. i think i even used a factory hole to mount it. it's a AC Delco 4-8 psi pump. had a carter that worked for many years, but it was noisy. this one is almost silent.

I have a Holley red that's mounted under the cab on the inside of the frame on the passenger side. I'm really considering something else. I like the idea of the Holley, but that is the noisiest fuel pump. It's the second one I've had on the truck, and both were just the same.
