One Piece Oil Pan Gasket
I have a 402 BB. It's a 1971 engine. What Felpro one piece oil pan gasket works with this? The one at O'Reillys has a thick front seal. I had them pull the four piece and it was very clear that the front and rear seals on the one piece were way thicker than the four piece. Looking for the felpro part number.

Re: One Piece Oil Pan Gasket
All of them are thicker...my Sbc has one on it right now and the builder said it was a pita to do. You will have to get longer screws to mount the pan.
I would guess the Fel-Pro Website might have that number for you. If not you might have to make a call when they re-open after XMAS.

Re: One Piece Oil Pan Gasket
i put one pieces on both my small blocks, both felpro's, they came with new bolts. had to drop the pans a long ways to get it in, rather expensive too, but worth it in my opinion less places to leak

Re: One Piece Oil Pan Gasket
I used the 4 piece gaskets (plus a dab of silicone in the corners) on my 454 rebuild and it leaked from day 1. Swapped it for a 1-piece and the problem vanished.
I tossed the box so I can't find the P/N, but I got it from AutoZone for just over $40 as I recall. I'll never use 4-piece gaskets again.

Re: One Piece Oil Pan Gasket
I used the one piece gasket on a small block 10 years ago and never had a leak afterwards. I know the gaskets are thicker, but need a part number for the bb. Don't want to remove the pan only to find out the gasket at the timing chain cover needed to be smaller. I have two part numbers FEL-OS-30061T and FPP1884R. O'Reilly's had the 61-T but didn't show they even sold the 1884R. I compared the 61-T to the four piece gasket. The front at the timing chain cover was about 3/16" to 1/4" thicker. The width was the same.

Re: One Piece Oil Pan Gasket
Buy longer bolts and the PITA will go away, I have changed mine on my truck twice _ other issues not the gasket- and no problems after you go to the longer bolts
