Went looking for a cab, got the whole truck.
I have been in the market for a cab for my build, for a few months now. Yesterday a friend told me he knew where a decent truck was. So I went to check it out, and it was old man fresh for sure. 85 custom deluxe with 60k original miles. It would have been in even better shape but the guy who had it for the last few years after the old man died let it sit in tall grass, which put a little rust on the rockers, but I dont think they ll have to be changed. The best part is that I also needed a driver side bed panel and tailgate. The bed on this one is an 8 out of 10. Plus the chrome trim around the grill looks brand new and the front bumper is uber straight. The guy is pulling the engine and trans today and I'm gonna pick the body up tomorrow.
Just wish I would have found it before I bought a bunch of the other pieces I now have.

Re: Went looking for a cab, got the whole truck.
I'll get pics up this weekend, when I get it home. I paid $1k. Most would say I over paid.... but conscidering the parts I needed and what is actually usable on the truck, I think it's a good deal when compared to buying all these pieces individually.
It doesn't come with a engine or tranny, but when you conscider that I was about to pay $450 for a cab that needed rocker panels for sure and $400 for a driver side bed panel. Oh and a seat, the seat in this one isn't even worn!! So yeah I'll get my money's worth and get rid of whats left over. I think it was worth it.
