2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
I just found it kind of funny that we have so many people looking for 70-72' 2wd's and yet, there is not any sort of thread that I've seen that helps anyone find any. So I figured that if people are serious and that if others want to help, we should start posting any leads. I guess I'll start....I found these and a few more after some searching.
1971 Chevy Blazer CST in O.C. 1971 2wd Jimmy in Suprise, AZ 1972 Blazer in queen creek, AZ I believe both the one above and below have been on ebay a few times. 70' blazer 72' blazer cst 72 blazer 70 blazer 72 blazer CST 72 blazer PLEASE NOTE: ads are subject to expire

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
I've actually seen everyone of those listings. I like the two in AZ for $16,000 and $9,500.
I've pulled myself out of the market for a 2ws for now. We're planning on buying a new house this summer, and the cost of housing in Seattle is out-of-hand so we need to save every penny.

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
Good thinkin. Im not sure how many people are actually looking for 2wd's to buy. I have posted mine on craigslist and this site and I cant seem to get anybody interested in it enuff to even come look at it. I think it is priced below what it is worth and I see ones people are restoreing on the site that make mine look like its in great shape. Bouncy seems to be pretty involved in the site and very knowledged in these Blazers, I think he needs to come by and B.S. with me for a while and look over mine to tell me what its worth. (what do you think Bouncy?)

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
At the risk of touching a nerve, johnboymx, which is not my intention, after looking at the pictures of your truck, and having sold a few vehicles myself, I'd recommend that you invest a little elbow grease and TLC in some spruce-up and detailing work.
Prospective buyers might be more attracted to your K5 if it wasn't quite as rough and raggedy looking and filled with random stuff, with wires hanging from under the instrument panel. It looks like you just got tired of it, parked it in the garage and forgot about it, which wouldn't exactly fill a potential buyer with confidence about what they are considering purchasing. Likewise, a little spit, polish and Armor-All in the engine compartment wouldn't hurt. If the market is as tight as it appears, based on your experience, then it can only help your chances of selling the truck by presenting it in the best possible shape it can be. Again, I'm just trying to help and that's my two cents worth. Good luck!

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
No harm done. I appreciate the info. Bouncy had mentioned kind of the same thing to me. I haven't toched the thing in awhile and you are right about putting it in the garage and forgeting about it. I will get around to tinkering with it one of these days. Thanks agian

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
John, as I mentioned before, Blazer's have a season. All those rigs that Baby Blue posted links to have been listed for a while. The orange one in AZ for $9,500 has been listed since summer and they dropped the price.
I think the season combined with the economy, housing slump, price of gas, etc has slowed the sales of extras like classic cars. You should definitely do a little polishing to show the rig in it's best light. Clean it and roll it outside on a dry day and snap a bunch of shots.

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
Ok bouncy. I will do that. Let me know if you ever make it down here in my neck of the woods (Des moines) and want to check it out. I usually have more than one Blazer in the back yard from time to time. I have the maroon 2wd and I also have a 72 2wd rolling chassis at the moment. I might be picking up a 71 2wd conversion later this week.

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
I have seen all of those before, some have been for sale for a long time. One
that's tubbed looks just like "Merlot" (The color does anyway) I kinda like the one that is $7500 without the wheels, but that pink interior just kills it for me.

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
I thought the tubbed one was "Merlot" at first. It took me a while to realize it was tubbed and there wasn't a luggage rack.

Um OK, nice but the price is a little in the Barret-Jackson range.

Re: 2wd Blazer and Jimmy's find thread
There are very few 2wd Blazers to begin with. If you're looking for an AC truck, it's like finding a needle in a hay stack. There are aftermarket AC kits that look fairly straight forward, but I've never installed one myself.
