I'm not in line, but would it be possible to get a picture of how the cable attaches to the gas pedal? This appears to be a '71 setup?

Uncle, thank you for the pictures!

Does the bracket that clamps onto the cable on yours look like the bracket on the floor of my truck (below) and what does it mount to?

Badpeanut, the bracket bolts to the brake pedal assembly where you see the whole in the pic.

Why doesn't my bracket allow the cable to line up with the gas pedal?

Not sure,but did you mount it on the upper part of the pedal assembly? I'll try to get another pic when the rain stops.

Is my under dash support bracket (red arrow points to it in the second picture) the same?

Is the second bolt hole in the bracket that clamps on to the cable unused (only use the hole with the bolt from your picture)?
