E-brake cable thing

I took out my e-brake cable and I seem to have lost the hanger thing that goes on the right front side of the frame and I can't remember what it looks like. Could someone post a pic of this part so maybe I can locate mine? If I can't find mine where can I get one?

2wd--not sure about a 4wd

not crawling under the truck tonite but it is either 3/16' or 1/4" rod about 4" long total with a curly pigtail on one end and a sharp L on the other. Unless you mean someting else.

Yeah I think that is it. It mounts across from the end of the e-brake cable that comes out of the firewall. Where can I get one? thanks for your help.

Re: E-brake cable thing

I am sure someone has one on the board---keep it toward the top until someone sees your post. One could be easily made --however it is probably case hardened to resist bending. Also easily done--after fabricating from rod, heat it red and dip in a bucket of water. Bending is over with at that point. Try ----- matt67350 if no one else close to you responds.

Re: E-brake cable thing

Found this thread after searching forever! I need this "pigtail" piece to hold my e-brake cable on the passenger side. I have the one on the driver side. Also I need the guide piece that is on the long rod from the passenger side. It looks like the e-brake cable equilizer in the picture below but is slotted to fit over the rod.

Hopefully somebody will have these! Thanks!

Re: E-brake cable thing

Here is the pieces I need. I checked inline tube and I don't think they have them. Hopefully I am wrong about this and someone will comment with a part number.

Yes i need the guide that goes on the end of the long rod on the passenger side in your picture. I have the rod just don't have the cable guide.

I am also missing the pigtail on the passanger side (not shown in your picture) as well that guides the cable through the cross member. It is a round piece of steel rod that goes through the frame but is bent at the end to form a loop for the cable to pass through. It looks like a pig's tail. See post #2 above. Post #2 shows the driver side but I need the passenger side.

Thanks for the picture! It helps clarify the cable routing for me.

Re: E-brake cable thing

Is it bad that I don't have a "pigtail"? I've never had one in 4 yrs. Also, could this cause my pedal needing to go all the way to the floor? (It's adjusted correctly.

Sorry for the thread hijack. No I'm actually not sorry.
