Finally getting the truck painted
I chose to stick with the original color, PPG Copper Poly. I'm picking her up tomorrow, can't wait!! This isn't a total make over, just a facelift of the exterior, but she was in pretty damned good shape to begin with so it didnt't take much work. I need to order a new front and rear bumper along with a new grill. For now, the bumpers are painted to match, I wanted the rear bumper left black but there was a communication breakdown.
So, the last picture in the series below is what she looked like when I bought her 3 yrs ago, then she really started to fade and the hood had a large cancer spot in the middle of the hood. Thanks to the other owners who posted the PPG paint code for this shade.

Re: Finally getting the truck painted
I agree with Tim, I too like original paint. Can't wait to see her fully dressed. Be sure to post pics when she's done. Nice job.

Re: Finally getting the truck painted
Got her home from the paint shop today. She definitely needs some grill work, and two shiny new bumpers..wheels ( or original hubcaps if I can find 'em)

Re: Finally getting the truck painted
Looks good. A set of late model chrome aluminum wheels would look pretty snazzy on that pickup.

Re: Finally getting the truck painted
Very nice. I think you'll really like how it looks with a new grill and chrome bumpers.

Re: Finally getting the truck painted
I vote stick w/ the steelies...maybe paint them white and throw some sweet bowtie hubcaps on there...love the paint. I like the original look of the truck!
