Tow hooks n stuff...I think I'm about to barf!
Part of my late 60s early 70s junk yard collection included a box of several tow hooks, two dash clusters, one with full gauges and one with just idiot lights, and a nice pair of camper style mirrors. We moved last year and I have been tearing the garage and storage unit apart looking for them...nothing!!!
I was, sure I had the box...not so much anymore. Been a rotten day in Chevy town! |

That sucks, keep the faith, you'll find it when you're not looking. At least that's how it works for me!

What Dale said. I'm finding lots of stuff I have been looking for since I had to move everything out of the barn and rearrange everything.... LockDoc

I sure hope so...the pile of tow hooks cost me $3.75 at the junker's counter. That was a lot of cash for a 12 year old...I saw what they are going for now, just for "stock" hooks. I about had a stroke!

I keep looking for my stock AM/FM radio, the one that was going to go in my Blazer. I'm sure I knew where it was, but it's not there...

Re: Tow hooks n stuff...I think I'm about to barf!
I have looked in places too small for them to fit...
The only thought I have is I used the C50 when we moved and the box was on the floorboard. It blew the head gasket out couple weeks later and I sold it to a guy that wanted to fix it and use the tilt bed and winch. I called him. He has sold it to someone else...who didn't transfer the title...so I cant trace where it is, prob sitting in a barn in Kansas somewhere. Not that it would do me any good. My buyer swears the box wasnt in there. Keep looking. Ironic thing is I never throw anything away. My wife reminds me of this every chance she gets! |

Good luck in finding your box.I really feel your pain.
I just did a three state move ) from SC to TN). We used four 20 ft Uhaul truck my two trucks, my trailer, my sons truck, and wife’s car. Needless to say, the move was chaotic, and stressful, having only 48 hours to load, drive 250 miles, and unload the uhauls to get them back in time. The result was everything from the old Garage Just got “Thrown into” the new Garage. Semi-Organized chaos. As much as I tried to keep things straight, I’ve got numerous Truck boxes and Tuff boxes packed full of stuff, but not organized. Every day I walk into the garage, and the first thought in my mind is “I’ve GOT to get my shop built (30x40 is the plan) BTW, since I moved 13 times in 30 years with the Army, this was my LAST move. |

Re: Tow hooks n stuff...I think I'm about to barf!
I moved about 5 months ago and last weekend I found a box of small truck parts (some nuts/bolts, fender emblems, hood letters, etc.) in our guest bedroom closet! I have no idea how a box labeled garage ended up in the closet, but I was glad I found it! You'll find it. Although I still haven't found my alarm clock yet....
