New wheels for Chuck!

Had my rally wheels/tires road force balanced a couple weeks ago. Found out 2 are bent. So went looking for replacements. Found these off a 92 gmc. Two 90% michelins, 2 worn out kumho's and a 100% new uniroyal spare for the princely sum of 150 canuck bucks!
Now I'm on the hunt for a match for the spare. Already have the rally's and t/a's sold so should come out a few hundred ahead.
Gotta luv craig's!!

Re: New wheels for Chuck!

Update!
Went tire shoppin' and found a pair of 225 75 michelins for the front. Got the 235 75 on the back.
Looks good for 250 bucks total.
Sold the rallies and t/a's for 600 so got some mad money left over.

Who me!!
Caveat emptor!!
He feigned poorness as he jewed me down talking about his fleet of 6 restored chevy trucks, all shortboxes from 84 to 87. He brought his photo album. He was buying the tires anyway. He's likely got a shed full of rims.

Re: New wheels for Chuck!

Steel rallies are notorious for being bent. I rebalanced a set of tires three times before the guy said "Well I can't get them any better because your wheel is bent!" I nearly flew off the handle and screamed back "You F---er! You let me come back in here a fourth time before you tell me I have a bent wheel???" Anyway... Looking good in the new chromies!!!

Re: New wheels for Chuck!

Yup!!
I had the rally's balanced twice with no comment on bent rims. Took them for roadforce balance and found out 2 were bent. Not severe but my butt-o-meter could feel the slight vibration.
New wheels/tires pass the butt-o-meter test with flying colors!

Re: New wheels for Chuck!

you know you can get aftermarket lug nuts with the external threads to use the factory caps.

Re: New wheels for Chuck!

I thought about getting a set of spider caps but couldn't handle the total 250 bucks to my door.
