Anybody using aluminum m/c?

Has anybody here used any of the newer aluminum brake master cylinders? I am using stock 1/2 2wd brake components but I do not want to use stock power brake boosters. I even tried one of a 3/4 ton with a dual diaphragm but it will not clear my offenhouser breathers on the valve covers on my 402. And I do not like the way the booster looks on the firewall. I had Napa look up the bore size and both the full sized truck '88 and newer and the s10 are using step sized bores, the smaller bore is about the same size as stock but the other bore is 1/4" larger. I am worried that this will cause uneven brake pressure from front to back. Any input would be great.

I've got a MC (power) off an '85 Chevy 1/2 ton on my '67 and I'm not using the booster. It works pretty good in my opinion. I'm 99.99% sure those are straight bore, but am not sure what the diameter is. I'm even using the proportioning valve off an '85 S-10.

Here's a pic......

How much was that m/c? I got some outrageous quotes and they needed to know specific #'s that I had no clue about.

I'm not sure exaclty how much is was..... maybe $25? I could probably find the reciept. I got it at AutoZone. I just asked for a MC for an '85 Chevy 1/2 ton 2WD truck. They also showed one for that year with manual brakes but it was close to $60 and they would of had to order it.
