GOOD MORNING,
A friend of mine rescuded a 60 thru 66 chevy pickup from the local scrap yard no title. i cant find the vin# any help would be great there is a plate on the drivers side kick panel with weight trim,paint codebut cant find the vin plate.also they said we would need to get a reconstruced title never done this before any help with that process would be great also.As for myself my 69 is coming along great another grand or so in the money pit and she will be done. If it is still on the frame , there should be a stamping on the driver frame rail, just in front of the control arm.
depending on the year, it should be in the driver door jamb somewhere I think 60-63 are on the left roof pillar , and 64-66 are above your head in the jamb as you get out.,I have also seen some on the rear roof pillar, and some with none( fell, got knocked off) |
