14K without a radiator and distributor? WOW! j/k truck looks great. looks like some minor body work and a squirt job and it would be bad A$$! If your going with the satin finish I'd go with some red steelie rims and keep the whitewalls.

Did you have any issues with the oil pan? I used to run a 468 in my imperial, and it had a front sump...Had to whack the firewall to get it set back..

lloyd...dunno how I missed this thread...where you at in town? I'm on the west side, close to the wilson rd overpass. You may have seen my old truck around town, it was my daily driver for a few years here...a black primered SWB with Mr horsepower stickers on the front fenders
I've done the caddy swap in mine too. I've put almost a 1/2 mile on it so far....it doesn't really have any brakes. It's in Hilliard at the shop i work at.
Anyways, welcome to the board, don't be afraid to holler if you need something.

that is looking sweet. is that a 68 with 67 fenders or onwe of the rare 67s with a large window?
you are reading my mind on the 472 swap. hows the in town mileage / driveability with those gears? I have access to a set of 2.36 gears for mine.

mileage is ok,if you drive normal, but if you drive hard you can watch the needle move.-on the highway its probably around 12-16mpg.i had 3.42gears in before and it would tach out really quick-drivibility?power on demand (torque)you feel like you own the road-HA HA.you can pretty much brake the tires loose anytime you want!
