new shoes and a raise

after 5 weeks of Fridays and Saturdays I finally got my favorite '71 road worthy after sitting in my back field for 6 years. This included a Tuff Country 2" lift kit with 3" springs in back, BFG mud-terrain 33x10.50x15's on powder coated 6" wheels and stock hubcaps. I also completely rebuilt and/or refurbished the clutch linkage and replaced all the rotted firewall grommets and seals and rebuilt the heater core box. No more unwanted stinky hot air thru the firewall! I also installed Inline Tube stainless extended brake hoses. Here are some of the before and afters.

Very nice, I love long bed 4 wheel drives. Cool stock color, too.

Re: new shoes and a raise

That is very nice. I am building one that will have the same lift and tires/wheel combo. I am very jealous. I also dig the med bronz.

I was lucky to find a tire shop that would put those tires on those skinny wheels. Alot of places wouldn't do it.

those wheels make the truck! Awesome choice, you just can't beat steelies and stock caps on a 4x4 (ok, on ANYthing )

Looks great! Without the badges you'd think it was a 20 series!
