1950s factory spare tire lock for side mount
Has anyone seen a orginal spare tire lock for a 1950s GM? i bought one reciently and i am just wondering how common they are, I havent been able to find one on the internet or in any pictures. I posted pictures here

I think we had one on the 54 half ton my stepfather at the time had. I would say that they are probably pretty rare now. I would bet that most guys left them off after about the third flat that they had to deal with.

Thanks Mr48chev, I am thinking the same, that most are gone. I managed to get the original key and the complete bracket assembly in near perfect original shape
