The name of the rental company was "EZ-Haul." Their logo was two or three cartoon-elephants, like a Momma & one or two babies.

Their company green color of their trucks was a good bit darker than the stock color pictured. A lot more what I'd call "Shamrock-Green."

I had a former EZ-Haul 2-ton, 24' box-bodied '72 - (c-50, I think it was), that I used as an insulation blowing rig for a business I had from '79 thru '85. The elephant logo decals were gone when I got the truck, but you could still see the faded-outline where they were on the box body.

Sorry no pix. Insulation business is an itchy-scratchy distant memory I'd just as soon forget.
..................................................................

Should have read the whole string before I posted. 67 C 30 beat me to it.

Check out the second link that I posted as it has all the "factory" optioned colors that were available. Who knows maybe a one off color, or maybe another 'corvette option'.

I actually like the color though.

Re: Ever see this Stock color ?

Special paint on the SPID could be nearly any color, but not a factory color. Whomever was ordering the truck, whether it was the government, U-haul, othe forestry service, etc; could specify the exact color. It was not a factory color. If it was a factory color, the SPID would have the color, and not the words special paint.

I could be wrong, but this is the way I have always interpretted "special paint" on the SPID.

Yes, there was a lime color that was a special order paint. You truck looks like it could have been a EZ-Haul rental truck. They used to compete with U haul, but were the do it yourself division of National Rental Car. Their logo (you can barely see it on the box) was elephants with their trunk holding the other's tail.

It appears that One of the newly retired EZ-Haul rental trucks was used and unfortunately destroyed in the 1975 film Race with the Devil..

Re: Ever see this Stock color ?

it was still factory paint... just not a normal option. Sometimes they went through the COPO program for special paint, other times the assembly line would just do it upon request.

Here is my 68 with it's factory color.
Your dash color I think may be more green, sorta like a Gumby green but thought the lighting may be the reason?

Re: Ever see this Stock color ?

Yup, Lime green is the words I needed... Thanks for the info.

As far as the frame, it (the top part) looks like it was meant to be there? It is bolted on , Almost like a factory, or aftermarket part, I will get better pics tommorow. It has had some work done to the frame, probably 8 inches welded in ? I mainly bought it for the suspension...I wanted a Dually to play around with
