I worked for Goodyear in 1968 when they came out with the Poliglass tire which is what this is. Corvette guys loved them as they gave great traction as the tire tred would sit flat and wide. Unfortunately you can imagine the sound they made when you hit road seams at speed---Wack, Wack, Wack, Wack,~~~~after a while you wanted your old tires back! hehehee

yeah in most my old late 60 early 70s field and streams they all advertise steel reinforced.
