Bed Cover?
I have been looking for a Tonneau Cover for my Sons 64 Short Fleet and I have been told no one makes one for 60-66 applications. I dont want one of those snap types and was wondering if anyone had either made one or purchased one for your trucks? Also if you do have one could you please post a picture of yours?
Thanks, JRBECK64 |

Here's an earlier thread that might provide some useful information:

Re: Bed Cover?
JR,
I went with the Extang full tilt as mentioned in the link. It is a snap one but you never have to un-snap it since it opens like a trunk. I am going to do a thread on the install soon. I like it. Not too expensive. Works well. +1 mpg. You can pop off the gas shocks and tilt it on up and lift it off if you need to haul something big. Here are a couple of pics.

Re: Bed Cover?
Here's a couple of pics of the soft-top tonneau I just put on my '63 shotbed Fleetside. No holes to drill - there's a frame that sits on the bed sides and is held by four clamps. The tonneau cover snaps into that frame. I can open the tailgate without unsnapping the cover.
I had one of these a few years ago on a Chevy S-10 for about 7-years and always kept it parked outside. It held up great, even with our snow load in New York. Last edited by TagMan; 10-31-2010 at 04:52 PM. |

Re: Bed Cover?
Manny,
The full tilt is still working fine. I am very happy with it. It locks so to speak. You have to drop the tailgate to unlock it. I run it most of the time unlocked so I can just pop it up to get to my gas filler in the bedside. TR

Re: Bed Cover?
Clyde,
Here is the info. It is very confusing about what fits what. Extang FullTilt #364-8320 (this is the number for 60-66 Chevy trucks short fleet) I got mine from Jegs for $386 delivered. Here is a link. http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...hTerm=364-8320 TR
