Re: How Many 3/4 Ton's Out There???

I've got 70 CST 3/4 ton. Haven't driven on the road in a few years but I go out and put a battery in it to start every once in a while. Love those glass packs! Was my daily driver for about 3 years back in the day. Then I worked the h out it hauling steel, firewood, cattle you name it for around 8 years. It has been ridden pretty hard and put up wet a few times. It has the original 396/TH400. It will be restored one of these days (don't know if it will stay 3/4 ton or not). Right now, it's just my avatar.

Re: How Many 3/4 Ton's Out There???

I had a '67 lwb C-20 stepper for a while, now it is a '67 swb stepper.

Here are before and after pictures, this spring I am going to start a slow restoration on it.

I will be replacing the '96 bed with a '68 short step bed.

My son wants to use the '96 bed on a rat rod he plans to build some day.

Re: How Many 3/4 Ton's Out There???

Considering the firewood, sheetrock, dirt, lumber, sod, and lots of other stuff my truck has carried over the years... I'm glad it's a 3/4ton.

There have been times I wished it was a 1 ton.

Re: How Many 3/4 Ton's Out There???

There is nothing any lighter than a 3/4 ton truck around our place - three C20 LWB pickups (2 are Longhorns) and a K20 LWB (pics shown). There are a few C30s (1 ton) here as well. No interest at all in 1/2 ton stuff (well MAYBE a strong K10 someday) - they are just too light/soft and do not drive and feel like a real truck.

was every 3/4 ton truck a lwb? I don't think that I have ever seen a swb 3/4 ton.
