2wd leaf springs
Did any 2wd trucks come with 2.5" wide leaf springs. I have seen 2.25" springs but am not sure if any came with 2.5"

Re: 2wd leaf springs
1 ton 2wd trucks came with leaf springs. measure the eye hole to eye hole distance and you can determine what spring packs will fit. i believe 73-87 2wd's were 56inch and 4x4's were 52inch long. you might be able to use the thicker coils from an even newer generation truck also if you do some measuring!
jchwhitney carries HD spring packs for the 73-87 era trucks that are rated at 3500 pounds (per side). they are intended for bad boy trucks that frequently tow heavy trailers or carry pickup campers. compare that to 2000 lb springs on standard 3/4 ton burbs from that era (jcwhitney carries standard springs also). if you need just a tad more lift to level things out, there are always add a leaf springs.
