1971 GMC Purchase
I have had the truck for about a month now......it has taken that long to be approved to post new threads on this forum.
Bought the truck in Ogden, UT and drove it home to Yukon, OK....had to replace the fuel pump in the hotel parking lot in Goodland, KS, otherwise no issues. |

Nice Pick-em-up. Now you can retire Ferd in background

Re: 1971 GMC Purchase
Sweet truck...that would have been a great road trip! Should have stopped by the VoTech school they talk about on TV and have the kids swap out the fuel pump

Yukon, Oklahoma??? Isn't that the home of Garth Brooks??? Are you one of his friends in a low place??? I see his name on the water tower every time I drive on I40. Have you lived there long???

Re: 1971 GMC Purchase
Looks like a great truck! Not picking it apart at all but I have one question- are you sure its a '71? Was it previously restored or is it a survivor? The accelerator pedal linkage has me wondering- looks like '70 & older linkage for the floor mounted pedal pad.

Re: 1971 GMC Purchase
I'll be watching, as I have this truck. Yours is nicer. I think mine was cheaper!
