Warped flexplate??
I got tired of having starter problems on the longstep so I pulled the motor, I had to check out a few other problems anyway.
The flexplate was warped pretty bad and only had a few hundred miles on it since new, I noticed the problem shortly after installing the motor but dont think it was warped when installed, what could cause this?

maybe not seated right or the converter was not installed all the way into the trany,
missing bolts or driving down the road and something on the road hit it. |

hole in flex plate two small.....did not tighten down even......
or just junk new parts..... i had a bad brand new flex plate before.........made in china...... invest in a major brand name plate........ |

The flexplate was a Pioneer brand, probably Tiawan made.
I'm thinking of going with either a B&M or TCI SFI approved plate this time, .035 thicker and welded both sides.

flex plate
Bought a brand new pioneer a while back and was warped pretty bad out of the box. Took it back and ordered good SFI approved one from Summit.
