Talking Post your green truck!

Hello forum!

I'm about to get my truck painted and I'm thinking green (duotone w white). But there are so many shades and I've no idea on what color code to go by. So please, show off your green truck and if possible, include the color code.

Cheers!

This is mine. 1972 C20 with a paint code of 505. They're a lot of work when they're in the condition mine is in, but I wouldn't sell it for anything. It's all big bolts and no computers. I love these trucks!

I know what you mean, here's a couple of pictures of my truck as it stands. Can't wait to get it painted.

My truck body originally was the same color as yours, it was repainted about seven years ago, I personally like your truck's green over an original darker shade. Mine is close to the darker factory green with metallic in it. Hate to say it, but I really like that Kia paint.

Meadow Green(518) & white. There are paint charts that abbreviate it to Med. Green, but the brochure shows it as Meadow Green, not Medium Green.

The blue tarp is to keep the interior dry til I make time to get the new windshield put in.

Interesting and confusing. I think it was called meadow green in maybe 67-70? Not 100% sure. My SPID spells it out as "Medium Green".

518 = medium green (SPID) = Meadow Green (brochures, etc)

518 = SOLID med green paint
548 = Conventional Two Tone (i.e. 518 primary/521 secondary (roof))
484 = Deluxe Two Tone (i.e. 518 primary/521 secondary (roof and sides))

brown7373, as pictured, your truck should be RPO 484 paint - and your statement is spot on as it is 518 + white

1972 GMC "Medium Green" with a black top. Not sure what color the dark green front fender is. It's a replacement after a wreck.

Same as the '69- '70 Sublime Green. My son went from Top Banana Yellow to Sublime Green after his car got hit. Some kid wanted to buy it, and when he and his mom came down the street, it was easy to spot from a couple of streets away!
