Tranny Shift Link Adjustment

How can I raise the rod where it connects to the tranny? Do I just unbolt it and move it up?

The way you guys talk it sounds like a routine maintenance thing.

My truck was also in a wreck and could never get the linkage to be adjusted right. Found out I was missing a spring and plastic bushing. Coreected it. It does need adjustment every couple of years.
