My dad bought mine in1983 when I was 9. It only had 36k miles at the time. I was driving it when it rolled 100k. It became mine in 1992 when I was 18 and I have been building it ever since.

Halloween, '99. Until it gets painted, the grey primer makes it look "ghostly".

My dad bought it in '89, but there was no option for that...therefore since I drove it to high school, that is what I chose.

I've been working on it for 3 or 4 years now...but at the rate things are going, I could be losing my truck - certainly not by choice - within the next few months.

Got my 69 in August 89 when it was a little over 20 years old. Bought it for $2650 cash from a used car lot in Ft. Worth -- one of those U-tot-the-note places. It had a name plate on it from a Chevy dealer in Electra, TX that's no longer in business. In fact, the whole town is almost gone!

1982 C10 SWB -- sold
1981 C10 Silverado LWB -- sold, but wish I still had it!
1969 C10 (not the current one) that I bought in the early 1980s. Paid $1200; sold for $1500 a few years later. Just a hint at the appreciation that was coming.

10 Years. It had 62,000 orig miles. Now it has over 120k miles and it looks like it. Being a daily driver has really taken it's toll and I can't wait to get back working on the new body for it.

Bought mine 14 yrs ago in H.S. with 74k on the clock and now has 116k. It was freshly painted when I bought it and it still looks pretty good considering its age. Was lucky to be able to garage it since then. And it's till death do us part, too!
