Just bought power steering gear box and pump from a '73 at the local junk yard and trying to put it on my '67. Problem is that when they took it off they broke the bracket that mounts ithe pump to the block. Does anyone please have a pic of what this bracket should look like since they said the other one was in pieces? (apparently you should NEVER go to get a part with only about 20 minutes before a place shuts down b/c they will get that thing off there no matter what they destroy) Everything else looks to have survived the ordeal. Thanks in advance.

Which engine do you have? If you have a 350 do you have the original short water pump? 73's have long pump and bracket wont work with short pump. If you have a six someone here should have a pic. Good luck with it.

I thought the power steering gear box was not the same for 67,I thought you had to modify the frame or something to get it to work,But I could be wrong.maybe somebody else knows.

Sorry....guess I should have told the engine...it's a '67 327, so I guess short water pump?

Dusti, you are right.
In order to do this, you will have to dimple the frame in the center of the 4 mounting holes where the steering gear box goes. Don't use washers to hold the gear box out further, this can lead to broken bolts, and WILL lead to jumpy steering and a prematurly worn gear box.
