Why are all of them red?

Just a question, it says its a factory 4WD. Then wouldn't the VIN number start with a K and not a C?

Exactly!!!! I wonder what percentage of buyers /owners genuinely don't know what they have??

I half expect to find one misrepresented 67-72 pickup on ebay whenever I look. It's mostly an issue on short bed and 4wd pickups - I posted the link to the above thread.

I'm no expert and I think there are things going for it. But...
Resale red.
Too much aftermarket chrome.
Can't use ebay's zoom feature.
Just a small detail but was the rearview glued in 69?
$24k is steep. I'll go for a 69 Camaro at that price.

Review was mounted above the windshield until 72.

Re: wow nice 1970 swb 4x4 on ebay

Looking at the transfer lever it appears the stick points to the left towards the driver. Correct for '69 being it should be a Rockwell T221 transfer but the knob is not correct. Looks like a Ford knob to me. Blank knob for '69 & '70, pattern was etched in for '71 & '72 and transfer lever moved to off center right with a straight forward stick and New Process 205 transfer. Agree, WAY to much aftermarket chrome for my taste. Mirror incorrect placement for '69 and as mentioned the VIN is in-correct with CE instead of KE. Pics of engine compartment show a full rubber upper radiator hose, not the metal 4x4 pipe ALL factory 4x4's utilize. Also 4WD emblems mounted below call out on fender, incorrect for '69/'70. Should be under the fender turn signal lens. Maybe seller does not know 67-72 trucks or maybe he's hoping prospective buyer does not know 67-72 trucks. If looking for a true factory 4x4 shortbed, this one IS NOT IT.

I'm curious about the pipe you're referring to. My 72 K20 had a full rubber upper hose, and it was an unrestored factory 4x4.

This is what would have been on your truck from the factory. ( If it had a V8 ) Never saw a I6 with one !

24k and no AC? Heck no aside from the fact it's not an original k10

This is good info to know for those who not only want factory correct trucks, but also to avoid potential problems later.

Unfortunately 90% of buyers do not do their homework before purchasing
A truck and go with the ole impulse buy and it can certainly come back to haunt
Folks later on.
