Fuel Gauge problems
My fuel gauge for my driver side tank has never seemed to work since ive owned the truck. It seems to base its reading off of what in the passenger side tank. Like for example if i have 1/2 of fuel on the gauge in the passenger side tank and switch to the driver side it will show like 1/4. It always shows like half of whats in the passenger side tank. Anybody else expirence this or have any idea's?
Also my fuel gauge bounces/swings. Like if i have 1/2 tank and im driving the truck the gauges will bounce from like 1/8 over to 1/8 under.

Re: Fuel Gauge problems
Dual tank systems route the fuel reading thru the switch on the dash. When you switch the tanks, the fuel tank level sensors are supposed to also switch. I think it is sticking on the one tank because the switch itself has gone partially bad. If you have the truck turned off, and are somewhere very quiet can you hear the tank valve (down on the frame rail) switch when you cycle the switch on the dash board?
