LMC Truck Tonneau Covers
Has anyone bought a tonneau cover from LMC?
I have a 1972 chevy longbed and was looking to buy one. they have 2 styles. One is snapped on and the other has the hinges. I want the one with the hinges, but I do not want to drill holes in my bed. Does anyone know if I would have to drill holes in my bed if I bought the hinged style? The other one says that there is no drilling required as it just clamps on the bed, but it says nothing on the hinge style. thanks |

Re: LMC Truck Tonneau Covers
I haven't looked at there's. But I have a tonneau cover on my SWB. Hing style and the assist to hold it up. The front points have 2 small brackets you have to screw in for the front pivot points, and the assist mounting points are screwed in. Doesn't look bad. Mine is not LMC brand.

Re: LMC Truck Tonneau Covers
I called LMC yesterday and they told me that both the roll up style and the hinged style they sell are both clamp. You do not have to drill your truck or your bed. But I went ahead and ordered one from Xtang. It is the roll up style just like LMC. It was just over $200. Free shipping. I should get it tomorrow or next week. If I like it, I will buy more for my other trucks. I want to try the hinged style also. Does anyone make the trifold hard plastic style for out trucks? I have not seen them. I have only seen the roll ups and the hinged.

Here are Extang's Part #'s for an 8' Fleetside. I just ordered the Extang through autoanything.com for $383.40 They are normally $426 but if you call in and ask for a discount they can discount it 10% for you, you just have to ask.
