I got mine in a junkyard for $5. You may try Billsbowtie or teeitup, they might have some.

Re: WTB a Disc Drum Proportioning valve

I don't think you have to change it unless you're also going from drum to disc.

Re: WTB a Disc Drum Proportioning valve

I'm doing just about the same thing. I'm going from power drum/drum to power disk/drum. My truck isn't together yet, but I hope to drive it before winter...will I have to change this?

Re: WTB a Disc Drum Proportioning valve

Xshadow I think you will just have to change your Proportioning Valve and MAYBE your front flexible brake lines.
Your booster should be OK.

Re: WTB a Disc Drum Proportioning valve

Does anyone have a picture of what the prop. valve looks like cause im in the process of changing my 6 lug drum power front end to 5 lug disc power from a square body chevy but dont know what all parts I will need. Some people tell me spindles, rotors, calipers. Some tell me that along with the control a-arms. Others tell me that along with that prop. valve. Correct input would be very highly appreciated. Thanks guys.

By the way, I have a 69 with power brakes cause it has the booster and master cylinder. Parts are coming from a square body chevy.

Re: WTB a Disc Drum Proportioning valve

I almost have the truck in driving condition. All of the lines are new as well as the flexable lines I still need new calipers. I hope the pro. valve will work. this truck is really more of a beater to drive around/haul. I do want to drive it this winter
