New Slippers
I put some new P255/70R15 Cooper Cobra GT tires on my truck last week to fill out the 15 x 8 Rallys. I haven't used the truck a whole lot the last few years so I had some time this morning and took her for a ride. You know I gotta do that every once in a while as I forget how much I love the way my truck feels when I drive it. Nowthat i have the tires I want I'll have to get to ECE and get my lowering kit.

Re: New Slippers
I'm thinking of doing a 3 1/2" front ( 2 1/2 spindle and 1" coil ) and 5" rear (springs with Super Trac Bar and lowered shocks)..

Re: New Slippers
Thanks for all the compliments guys. I really like the way it looks with the bigger tires and 8" rims on it and because of that to be truthful I'm on the fence whether or not to lower it. If I do not lower it it really needs new shocks, does anyone have any recommendtions for new shocks?

Fat tires look good. Dropping it will set it off. ECE are good guys.

Trust me... once you go 3.5/5, it won't be enough.

Re: New Slippers
Greg...he's right. I did a 2.5/4.0 drop and I'd really like to go another inch towards the pavement.
If you go more than 5 inches lower in the rear, you will probably have issues with the driveshaft and the crossmember that mounts the center bearing. ECE offers a custom crossmember to address those issues.

Re: New Slippers
Those tires look pretty big to go that low without any rubbing on the fenders, but maybe the pics are just deceiving. I'd say a small 2" drop all the way around would look decent. Not super low, but just enough to notice it and still have the muscle truck look to it...even with the Pink paint That's a pretty clean truck....personally I HAVE to drive my blazer ever day. Even with it sucking down gas, I'll take the blazer every where and leave the Honda at home lol

Re: New Slippers
It looks great as is.... but the ECE 4.5/6 drop is the PERFECT stance for these trucks and rides great according to everyone who has it!

Re: New Slippers
Been thinking a lot about the drop thing and decided I 'm not going to drop it, ( I'll save that for my Burb when I get one ) I'm going to redo all the bushings and body mounts with polyurethane bushings and add a Hellwig rear sway bar and with the 1 1/4 " sway bar with the poly bushings I already have up front the truck should handle and ride like a new one.
