Flexplate question
Ok this may seem stupid but which flex plate is the correct one for a 67 with a 327 with the TH400.
It seems by looking it up that it is different than the other years and of course is hard to find. Can anyone help with this? |

Re: Flexplate question
Any 168 tooth flexplate for an early model 350 that has the neutral balance. Maybe a starter if you have the smaller 153 at the moment

Re: Flexplate question
It probably calls out the smaller 153. You could even use a plate off of a 396 or a 402 same as the earlier 2 piece rear main seal 350

Re: Flexplate question
I guess maybe thats it. I am assuming I have the 168 because my starter has the bolts diagonal not straight across. It would be nice to be able to use a FRA-100 they are pretty in expensive.

Re: Flexplate question
you have a 2 piece rear main seal and staggered bolt holes on your starter so you need a Pioneer FRA-100 flexplate. Should be a common item at any parts store.
Autozone shows them for 20.00 O Reilly has it for 22.00

Re: Flexplate question
Compare the mounting holes for the TQ. There are some variations in them. Some TH400 use 6 bolts.
