my carb linkage

I bought some rod ends from summit and got a piece of steel rod. I got a friend of a friend to bore a hole and thread it. What do you think?

I don't have anything to compare it to. We stripped the truck down to a bare frame about 6 years ago. It had a completely different motor and carb set up, so I cant really compare it to anything. There seems to be a hard spot, if you rev it up and let off it, the throttle stops bout 2,000 and then falls very slowly. I don't know if the rod is binding or the shaft on the carb itsself is sticking. The carb had set for a long time before I put it on my motor.

Looks great! As far as the hard spot maybe you need a heavier return spring?

I was thinking about trying different springs. I have dual springs from a lokar kit, but the pedal feels real light when you step down on it. Not the usual stiffness from most GM throttles. I've never seen return springs with rates on them. As heavy as my foot is maybe I need to rip one off the storm door, that would definately yank it closed!

I have some pics, excuse the crappy digital camera. I'm not gonna be on here though for the next few days, I'm in the process of moving and time for the computer to go. I can't get on at work anymore, they are cranking down on everyone.

Details: Victor Jr. intake, corvette brackets/pulleys, flexalite fans

We painted the firewall and the inside of the cab. The rest is in PPG DP 90 sealer/primer. Waiting on a little more time/money to finish painting the truck.
