need quick help on a 250 6 cyl

I have a 70 chevy c10 with a straight 6 250. Can anyone tell me where I can find an oil sending unit for a mechanical gauge? going from dummy lights to gauges. If you have a parts # that would be appreciated as well. Thank you for your help.

The mechanical gauge uses a small tube with fittings to go from the oil pressure outlet to the gauge. All parts stores have a kit for that. The original is a steel line but the aftermarket are usually plastic. I like to slid some vacuum hose over the plastic were it goes through the firewall & gets close or rubs something to keep from rubbing a hole itn it.

Just run the line to the same port the electric sending unit was in. It uses 1/8 male pipe. You can also use 1/8 copper tubing instead of the plastic tubing. The stock line does not have to be from a 6 cyl. I used my 6 cyl line when I switched to the 402 so a V8 line should work for the 6.

A lot of the mechanical oil lines you will find in auto parts stores may be metric or a different thread, you may need to find an adapter to make them work.

Member Leon " Lockdoc" sells these kits in copper tube and correct ferrules. I'd stay away from the plastic lines. Has em in both 6 and 8 cylinder
