The reason you are looking at this thread is because you are likely an owner of a 67-72 model year / truck or you flat out like the classic designs. But....what if these years were absolutely ugly...what other model year would you fall in love with? Otherwords...if the 67-72 model years were not be avaliable...what years would be your next choice. Maybe a few words to why your selection. It's poll time.

I like them all.i`m just on 67/72s because they have always been my daily transport.They are as advanced as the years to follow,but I prefered to have the earlier design.Every style GM has always had the best styling in all their cars and trucks,IMO,and that`s what got me to be the GM nut that I am.I also like their mechanical design and consistancey,best parts availability(I`m talking about from the factory before the "classic" craze.We all know the classic support is the best),ease to keep running...they are just too darn practicle.I`ve always liked old better than new.I like more character in my posessions.I never cared for higher status.So,I put the money of a new one into an old one.I`ve only bought one new and one faily new truck for my business because of all the miles I was racking and I spent alot of tiime keeping my trucks tip-top.So I got something to burn up while I cherished the older ones more.But,I always fell in love with the newish ones,too.Now,the new truck I bought is 17 years old and a classic in it`s own right.
...so I didn`t vote.

I like the 63-66's because of the unique look and growing up my dad had a 1964 SWB Fleetside that I learned to drive in.

I picked the 60-66's.

My mom drove a white '63 impala, 4door hardtop. It had a 283 with a powerglide. Back then it was just another family car and wasn't worth much though it was in good shape. My parents bought it for $75 and sold it for $500 years later.

My dad drove a '65 c10. Bought it long before I was born and sold it when I was well into my teens. It had a 292 which i helped rebuild once. After we got rid of the impala, the '65 was our sole vehicle for several years. My dad put a canopy on it, built a seat just behind the rear cab, knocked out the windows in between and that's where me and my brothers rode. I then rode that truck from Alaska to Vermont with every stop in between thoughout my childhood. I remember stopping several times for repairs of one sort or anther. Trying to replace broken valve springs in Kansas without taking the head off and only having a basic set of hand tools.

Yeah, I like those years. Good memories. I hope I never lose them.

As far as looks go I like the late 50s, but my 1st one was a '63 rolling smoke screen C-10 so I voted that.

I like 'em all, but if I didn't have my '69, my choice would be a '57 swb stepper, slammed/tubbed with a blown BB dressed in BLACK! -- eventhough I can't afford any of that!!

I hate to say it here, but i like the 60-66 best....but I have 67-72's. Don't get me wrong though, I have a passion for our trucks.

Man, tuff choices...

I picked 60-66, but I'm not sure that's always true. It should almost be two categories for each model. Stock and custom. Then maybe split it again for 4 wheel verses 2 wheel drive. Then maybe split it again for...

I give up. Just put me down for all of them!!!

I've owned a 60, 63, and the 69 all chevys of course. The 69 is by far the nicest But the 63 had a 425 HP 409 and it would rip the tires off. The 60 I boxed the frame and put a 454 in it so it also had good HP although it was built to tow with. Wish I had them all back. I just took a picture of a 409 in an Impala at the meet this morning just like I had.

I went with the 60-66.
With me, I like to have some sort of memories tied to these old trucks. My 68 burb was the one I grew up in, but if it were gone and I had to choose another model other than 67-72. I would go with the 60-66 range, since my grandparents had one. I don't remember the year they had, I just remember the body style.

I picked 56-59. My dad has an Apache step-side '58. He built it from the ground up back in the day with Volare front suspension, tubbed rear, and lots of one-off mods. He is the second owner (had it since '68) and I will be the third some day

They all are great lookers. I'd be partial to 60-66. I do like the 60 front end.
