1971 k10 gas gauge problem
So,
I have already gotten great info from these forums.. my gauge reads way over full with a full tank of gas and reads just below 3/4 when tank is empty. When I ground my brown wire pin at the sending unit the gauge drops to probably what is left in the tank.(but it drops) I have removed the sending unit cap/ring and cleaned it for a better ground. I have also backed off the gas tank mounting screws and made sure they were tight. my sending unit does not have a ground lead coming out of the top,,it depends on the tank itself for ground. gauge still not working, its still shows over full. All help is appreciated. |

Every third truck has guage problems so there are lots of posts on this topic. Search "fuel guage" and click the 67-72 circle and then search!
Here is one to get you started. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=640615
