Random Wire??

Alright i was installing a new turn signal switch and there is a wire going into my gear indicator and i'm wondering what its for? any help?

If you have a tilt wheel and the wire is grey, its for indicator light

and if you don't have a tilt wheel... you DO have a tilt turn signal switch.

wether tilt or no it is 4 the indicator lite. mine is blac in a non tilt

Yeah mine is a non tilt and its a black or grayish wire. Where does it connect at?
