Axle flip
Ok so this weekend I got the axle flip kit installed. I left the lowering shackles in it, but moved it to the 1 inch setting. With the wheels on and it back on the ground I think the shocks are bottomed out. Does anyone know what shocks to get for it?

OK so I got shocks that are supposed to work, but they are too long as well. Anyone know the part number for the shocks I need. Its a longbed with a flip kit and 1 inch shackles. Truck has absolutely no bounce in the rear, shocks are totally bottomed out.

These should be about right, with the flip and shackles you should be sitting pretty darn low. I would call ECE and tell them what you have done to see what they recommend. I used KYB's from them on my sons truck, but I just did the flip didn't have the shackles. |

Ok I think I've figured out my issue. Got to talking with my dad about the truck. Apparently the rear end is out of a early 80s truck and he took the springs out of that truck and used them in this one. I think my easiest thing to do would be find stock springs for the truck and start from there. What do you guys think? Anyone in the phoenix area have some stock springs?

I had the same issue and my rear is also out of an 80's truck (if that matters at all) even with drop shocks. They may have been the wrong shocks too but either way i just moved the upper shock mount by welding a plate to the frame and used a large bolt. It's held up till now.
I'm also curious how much room you've got between the axle and the frame now? When i did my flip i had about an inch and i didn't have lowering shackles. Now i need a notch.

Ok after some research on monroe's site I've found 3 potential shocks. One when compressed is 3/4 inch less then the one I have on there now. The other 2 are 2-3 inches shorter when compressed.
