Question on buying a truck
I am in the market for a 67-72 but to be honest i just started learning about them. What i know, i think, is the 67,68 have the cool (slanted) hood. 67 doesnt have the front fender reflector. 67-70 no disk brakes. Asides from that are they the same?
I want one for a semi daily driver (although i take the bus) id like it to be as dependable as one. Im also hoping it will be occasionally able to pull my 97 jeep wrangler a hundred miles or so to the desert for camping etc... So please send me any and all of your ideas. Please. OH, one more thing i cant seem to find. Do most people stick with c10 or can a c20 be modded cool too? I think the c20(3/4t) have like 7 lug rims and biggers springs? please correct me if i am wrong and the c10 is (1/2t). which one is better? Thanks for taking the time to read this. |

Whether you get a C10 or C20 neither one is "better" it just depends on what you want to use the truck for. The C20(3/4 ton) will be better suited as a work truck if you want to haul/tow things, not to say that the 1/2 ton can't do it. Alot of people want 1/2 tons if you are going to lower it and modify. Also C20's are 8 lug. All the years are mostly the same, with minor differences. Like the hoods being slanted on 67-68 models as you said and the grills vary between years. but 71-72 have disk brakes in the front which make for better drivers. However you can swap in disk brakes to the other years.
Both the 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton should be able to pull your Jeep with no problem.
