Hedman shorty hedders 69648, anyone use them?

I just purchased these and am curious as to how the finish will hold up. I talked with the guy at Summit and he said the Thermal coating would hold up for years, it's just not shiny. I currently have a set of Ceramic coated full length Hedman headers that arent doing all that well. I just hope that these Thermal coated headers arent any worse.

I'm running headman shorty headers, but they are ceramic coated. After 2 years they still look like the day i put them in.

I'm also curious about the thermal coating option though.

My buddy had a set powder coated to a like chrome finish. I was wondering if you have ever see any one do that. I wouldn't think that would hold up to well.

Ya, I'm thinking about sending them back and purchasing the more expensive Ceramic coated headers, because I hate rusty headers.

Re: Hedman shorty hedders 69648, anyone use them?

Here's the reply from an email that I sent directly to Tech support at Hedman.
Hello:

Good question Jason!

The coating is a ceramic based thermal coating. Both part numbers get the same coating. The difference is the 69646 is polished, and the 69648 is un-polished. The polished version is a high luster finish, the un-polished coating is a flat finish. They are equal in durability and heat resistance, and warranty, which is 5 years.

Thank you,

Hedman

I have the Hedmans with the Jet Hot coating and they still look like the day I put them on. But then I only have about 5000 miles on the truck
