Dumb question
Ok guy please try and hold the laughing. I have a 350 out of a 70 chevy. The engine had a dualjet 200 on it. Well the carb sucked. A friend let me us a four barrel holley and a adapter plate. Well I was testing fitting and I hit a problem. the back to studs on the intake are in the way of the holley. Could you all give me some suggestions. Here is a picture for your viewing pleasure.

Sorry, not much help... But I couldn't resist. There must be a different adapter that will work for you.

a new manifold is miles better than an adapter plate -- you could probably pick one up for $25 or so if you look around (cast iron gm manifold -- would still need a spreadbore to squarebore adapter, but at least the intake size is closer)

I think you need to take the studs out and move them to the outside holes. It looks that 2 to 4 adaptor has the spread bore (Q jet) and square bore (Holley) patterns, and the studs are in the Q-jet holes. Hard to be sure from that pic though.

You have to take the studs out and put in alan head bolts and you should be able to stick bolts up from the bottom to hold the carb on.

dude - be on the lookout for an intake soon -- even if you get that one running ok- look at how it shrouds the primary openings

its angled on the inside so it doesnt cover the opening, the bottom is wider than the top

For what it's worth...my truck had a Q-Jet intake with an adapter plate (just like yours) and was running an Edelbrock 1401 series carb when I bought it. It ran rich and would bring tears to your eyes if you got near the exhaust.
I bought an Edelbrock Performer intake and an Edelbrock 1901 Q-Jet and installed them. I had to put a heat shield on the starter, due to the leaner running of the carb/intake setup. No more tears when you smell the exhaust and it runs MUCH better, and my mileage is better. Find a carb/intake combo that is a matching set, even if it is original in style, and you'll have a better running engine. The adapter, in my opinion, doesn't let the fuel/air mixture flow correctly. That huge opening can't possibly direct the mixture in the best style for proper combustion and performance. Economy doesn't even figure in to the equation.

Thanks guys. yeah I plan on getting something better in the future. Right now this is my only trash hauler. Just get it running I have to do this but I will look for an intake and carb later. Thanks for the help.
