Re: Boyd Welding Fuel Tanks: Limited Time Group Buy

Are these the exact same as the ones listed on Boyd's site? You pictures and specs differ from Boyds. These are Boyds specs for the 14002:
-Tank Dimensions: 26.5 x 19 x 10
- Tank Material: .125 Aluminum
- 2" Side Fill
- 1/2" NPT Vent
- 3/8" NPT Return
-3/8" NPT Draw
- 3 Baffles
-Approx 19 Gallons
- This tank is a NON-EFI but we have constructed the tank so that you can upgrade to our in-tank EFI system in the future.

On your site, the spec are:

Carburated Application
Product Number: 14002
Side Fill
Tank Dimensions: 26.5 x 19 x 10
Tank Material: .125 Aluminum
2" OD Ribbed Side Filler
1/2" NPT Vent
3/8" NPT Return
3/8" NPT Draw
2 Baffles
Approx 19 Gallons

You pics of the tank also show it without the cover for the efi opening. The main thing I'm interested in is the upgrade to efi in the future option. Thanks, Tony.

Tony,

Yes, it will be the same tank, and we just haven't updated the photo, which I will do now. The carb tank will have the EFI block off plate.

Re: Boyd Welding Fuel Tanks: Limited Time Group Buy

They currently don't make a 73-87 tank, but keep an eye out for one in the future. We are working to get one made for the square bodies. Just not ready quite yet.

No problem, just let us know when you are ready and be glad to get you taken care of.

We do have just one more day to take advantage of this group buy. We do have the 10 orders needed already, but always room for more. All of the orders will go to Boyd Welding on Monday. Thanks again for the orders.

Re: Boyd Welding Fuel Tanks: Limited Time Group Buy

How is this a special group buy. Not trying to start a fight just curious.
If I buy direct from Boyd it is $17 more shipped to me. But your sending unit is $16
more than listed by Boyd.

Re: Boyd Welding Fuel Tanks: Limited Time Group Buy

We sell the sending unit for it's listed price on our price sheet. I think the price on the Boyd site may be an error, since other tanks using the same sending unit are priced at the $48.

Not me. I was charged on Jan 31 when I called. Just figured build time would take a while.
