Re: Parting out '74
ScottH, yes the panels are there, they look like they were red at one time and dyed/painted black. Maybe it is factory black just coming off. They have not been cut up.
Crossy, gouges include battery, volt, oil, gas, speedo and a light for brakes. No tach. Will have to check the harness. Will post pics if my 12yo will show me how to put them up. lol Chuck

Re: Parting out '74
Yeah, those door panels in the other post are much nicer looking and higher end trim package. Seem like a good deal.

Re: Parting out '74
79Chevy, not sure if the panels fit one a '79 or not as I am not real familiar with this style. I believe the doors themselves fit into the early 90's so I don't see why not. They are probably not the same trim/style though. Let me know.
Thanks Chuck

Re: Parting out '74
dp malibu, the fan shroud is damaged at the bottom, kinda looks like the fan dipped into it at one time. Pretty torn up.
'79Chevy, The drivers door is decent shape, minor rust at the bottom seam and a three holes in the skin where the mirror was. The passenger side however is rusted out at the bottom but it would pass for interim daily driver as its outside skin is pretty good. Do you have a local Greyhound terminal? Probably would be the cheapest way to go.

Re: Parting out '74
Chuck, forgot to ask you what kind of side view mirrors were on the doors.
I need a couple of mounting brackets for the small chrome sport mirrors. If you need a pic of the mirrors let me know. Thanks. Scott |

Re: Parting out '74
79Chevy Shipping by Greyhound is roughly $75.00. UPS was over $150.00. In my opinion the door would not be worth it. Sorry no pic tonight as my daughter took the digi cam with her before I got home from work. It is not that I don't want to sell you a door, I just don't think its worth it. Will try to post detailed pics tomorrow.
Thanks Chuck Some pics: http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...U/DSC04559.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...U/DSC04558.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...U/DSC04560.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...U/DSC04557.jpg
