have you heard of this problem?
Ok guys I have a 1970 c10 short bed with leaf springs. The GVWR on the plate says 5000 lbs. The vehicle weighed 3400. It has overload springs. My problem is that I bought rear leafspring bushings for it twice and they all have been too big 1.5". The OD of the OEM metal sleeve is actually 1.25". Energy suspension says they have no record of such a vehicle, and do not make a kit for it. Has anyone had the same problem?

Re: have you heard of this problem?
Don't know if this will help or not, but... I measured a set of 1/2 ton 4x4 rear springs. The actual od where it goes into spring is 1.5 inches. If you measure the rubber inside of the sleeve it is 1.25. Pressing out the full sleeve so you just have spring is anything but a joy. The bolt that goes through is 1/2 inch. Try getting some pics posted may be able to help further.
