So I am finishing up my 69 GMC and considering swapping out the buddy buckets for these:

anybody take notice of these yet or purchased?
thinking of the set with the console and cup holders. I have some Suburban front buckets from a 1990 that I was going reupholster and make brackets, but these....hmm

I'm planning on putting bucket seats from a 2000-2006 chevy/GMC pickup in mine and a lot of guys do that. The seats from LMC will get you a little more leg room and look really nice, but they cost way too much in my opinion. You can pickup a set of seats from a 2000-2006 for pretty cheap at a junkyard or in the classifieds and have them reupholstered.

Those are made by TMI. You can get them from a number of vendors. MCB, for example, is a sponsor here so I'd encourage people to shop local over the mega store like LMC.

The seats are nice, well made, and install easily. I have them now in my 72'. They gave me a few more inches in legroom. I think my current build thread has a photo of the ones I got.

They are made to order, so expect 4-8 weeks time before ordering and receiving them.

Sooo...better deal through TMI or MCB? I'm for that. How does the lower frame they show bolt up? Is that from MCB or TMI also

Not sure about pricing differences. You can get the frame from anyone, same as the seats. The frame is made by TMI too. Hell, even summit sells this stuff. I will say I've had fantastic customer service from MCB. Customer service from the big guys can be really hit or miss. I had a 40 minute call the other day when MCB just talking about custom wheels, sizes, brands they rep, their opinions, etc. Try and do that with LMC.

In any case, the frame bolts to the stock seat bolt locations. Then the seats bolt to that. No drilling required. Took me longer to cut holes in my new carpet than to install the frame and seats
