Filler tube venting

Is it necessary to use a vent on the actual filler tube when installing a blazer tank or can i eliminate that vent and just use the other 2 little ones on tank? If its a must to use a filler tube vent then where do i find 1 and how do i connect it to the style of neck im using. Here is the neck im using.http://www.overtons.com/modperl/prod...B&merchID=4006

Re: Filler tube venting

You could get by without the vent, but it would be slow to fill the tank. The air in the tank has to escape as fast as the gas is going in.
