Vin Decode
I need some help on decoding this vin....KE104 - 1112XXX..GM OF CANADA TELLS ME THAT THIS IS NOT THE VIN #.I GOT IT OFF THE STICKER ON THE INSIDE OF THE GLOVE BOX.( VIN PLATE ON THE POST HAS GONE MISSING ).THERE IS NUMBERS ON EACH SIDE OF THE FRAME RAILS JUST BELOW THE DOORS. ARE THESE NUMBERS THE VIN OF THE TRUCK? THANKS IN ADVANCE. TERRY

Looks like you are missing a digit. Here is a good decoder.
http://www.gmcpauls.com/67-72_chevy.htm The numbers on the side of the frame are not your VIN. On the frame ith will be on the drivers side on top near the steering box mount or n the railk under the cab about right under the driversd door area. You should have a VIN tag on the drivers rear door post. That is whjat the factory used for VIN placement primarily.

that is a GMC VIN, not a chevy VIN.... Chevrolet of Canada won't be able to answer your Q's about it.
What year GMC is it? They don't decode the same year to year. |
