I'm getting the itch!! Someone stop me!!

I am going out to look at a 1970 3/4ton Big Block 4 speed truck today or tomorrow... Lots of rust, but it runs and the tranny is MIA. I can get it dirt cheap and have dreams of building a BB 68 Short Fleetside 50th aniversery look a like hotrod with a muncie 4 speed transmission. I realy need to finish my panel, but this is a big block with all of the standard transmission stuff!!!(Tough to find around here) Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh Someone stop me. WES

You're in the wrong place man, no one around here will try to stop you. Sounds like a great plan to me. Post progress pictures when you get it home.

A200 is good for that itch but once you've been bitten, there is no cure.

The only way to get someone here to stop you is to have them buy it first!

Re: I'm getting the itch!! Someone stop me!!

Get It!!! Like said above, this is the wrong place to look for a stop Now hop over to the Better Homes And Gardens forum or ask your wife and they will tell you NOOOO!!!!.

I can hear it now

"Where are you going to put it??? Cause its not going in the driveway I can tell you that right now!"

"Why would you want a truck that ruins the environment!, you need to buy a Prius." Aka the Castration sedan.

"You haven't finished your current one and you want to buy ANOTHER ONE???!!!"

Luckily my Girl is a classic fan as well, she had a 1969 Camaro a few years back.

Re: I'm getting the itch!! Someone stop me!!

Now, think about it, can't you just feel how fun it will be to take that truck apart, all of the old pieces, all of the treasures that might be under the seat, carpet, the fun of wondering what someone was thinking when the used a scotch lock connector to put the hot feed back together to the ignition switch. KNOWING that if you had done this the darn truck would have melted to the ground before you moved it 10 feet. same goes for the compression fitting in the brake lines. OH WHAT FUN IT WILL BE!!!!! The satisfaction will be when you are thru, and you know that the truck is better for belonging to you, and that it will be a drive it anywhere kind of rig. I say buy it now before your wife gets wind of this, and says that the house needs something dumb, like a new roof!

STOP!!!

Buy my 3/4T SWB. The conversion is already done. Swapping in a BBC is easier than cutting down a bed/frame. Mine a 4 speedtoo! Runs and drives...no trailer needed.
