I learned something new today

FYI....

I learned that the Speed Demon carbs require a throttle stop. In fact (from what I read and was told) if you do not use a throttle stop you run the risk of damaging the butterflys and other components when you stomp on it. From there it gets expensive.

If anyone plans on using this brand of carb, I suggest (BG says it's mandatory....so why wouldn't it be included?) you get one before it's too late.

I didn't say hurry. I said before it's too late. Meaning, if you are like me (which you probably aren't now because of this post) and didn't know about this and have been driving around with a new $500 demon without the stop, you run the risk of messing up the carb and not knowing about it.

It seems it's nothing more than a device designed to keep the throttle linkage from getting over extended (wide open)...apparently the demons are prone to damage if they are over extended.

However there seems to be quite a suse for these in Drag Racing as well...
