trucks in Utah?

Are there any members in Utah? Or does anybody know of many trucks in Utah? I might be getting a job there in Cedar City which is in southwest Utah.

Yes, there are a couple of us, another member from Layton, too. There are quite a few 67-72s on the road around here, the trucks are probably in better shape down where you're headed, probably less snow, so less salt on roads...

Prices probably like everywhere else-- getting too high. I've lived here for ten years, so can't compare, though I would guess our trucks are in better shape, only 5-20% humidity here and I know what it feels like in St. Louis in July-- please don't bring it with you

You can still find plain-jane unrestored trucks for a decent price ($1000-1500 for 2wd), but the salt has taken its toll on a lot of the sheet metal. There are a lot of us around, but I don't know how many are on the board.

Talking Utah Trucks

I have restored about 4 2-wheel pickups and 1 Jimmy, and am currently working on a 70 Blazer. I am amazed at how cheap you can find good parts if you look. I have picked up good straight trucks with a little rust for $500. That is in running condition. I have a few junk yards with a few good trucks in them I frequent, but the majority you can find in the local paper classifieds.

You will find better condition trucks down in the Cedar City area than up in Salt Lake. Less salt and dryer conditions. If you get lonely let us know and we will have to all come down and have our own little show.

By the way Billogna, I did catch your truck at the show on Saturday. I saw you driving off as I was arriving. That is one sweet ride. There were some pretty sweet trucks at the show.
